Stages Powermeters are the perfect upgrade when it comes to significantly improving performance on the bike. The high-resolution Gen 3 Powermeter technology benefits from more than a decade of continuous product innovation.
In the Power LR model, the pre-mounted sensors on the drive side and on the left crank arm measure the cyclist’s wattage values with maximum accuracy and independently of each other. Data transmission is seamless via Bluetooth and ANT+. The powermeter sensors themselves integrate seamlessly into the design of the Shimano Dura Ace FC-R9200 crankset and only add 35 grams to the weight.
Technical details of the Stages Power LR Powermeter
- cadence measurement via optimised acceleration sensors and integrated ring lasers
- recording of performance data on both sides, but independently of each other
- power range: 0 – 2500 watts
- cadence range: 20 – 220 rpm
- Active Temperature Compensation (ATC) as an automated process to determine consistent performance data under any environmental conditions
- individual and independent calibration of each Stages powermeter for maximum measurement accuracy (+/- 1.5 %)
- integrated LED display for visualisation of battery level and calibration result (no active connection to the app or bike computer required)
- improved Bluetooth and ANT+ antennas for a 6-fold increase in data transmission strength
- wireless Firmware updates
- compatible software: Stages Link, Training Peaks, Strava, Garmin Training Center, etc.
- battery life: over 175 hours (over 200 hours with one-sided use)
- water resistance: IPX7

Shimano Dura Ace FC-R9200 crankset
The Shimano Dura Ace FC-R9200 crank performs two crucial tasks: It converts pedal power into propulsion and ensures extremely fast and precise shifting. Not only do the lightweight crank arms, manufactured using technology, contribute to this, but also the uniquely designed chainrings which feature a construction and ensure fast as well as smooth shifting. The result is responsive acceleration from any speed securing the 2×12-speed crankset an absolute top position.
Various crank arm lengths and chainrings with 50-34 to 54-40 teeth offer variability and an optimum gear ratio for every riding situation.
Hollowtech II
The guiding principle of Shimano’s Hollowtech II technology is the perfect balance between stiffness, stability, weight and rotational efficiency. The goal was to produce a crank that minimises the effort required for the drive and enables more efficient power transmission.
An exclusive forging process allows the production of extremely light crank arms that nevertheless guarantee maximum stiffness. The fixed connection of the right arm to the axle of the bottom bracket and its external bearing also serve an optimum relationship between stiffness and low weight.
